London-Based Designer Vera Thordardottir Confirmed To Show At The 2011 Reykjavik Fashion Festival
The Reykjavik Fashion Festival is pleased to announce that designer and recent graduate of the Istituti Marangoni's London campus, Vera Thordardottir, will début her Fall 2011 collection at the second annual Reykjavik Fashion Festival, March 31st-April 3rd, in downtown Reykjavik, Iceland.
Thordardottir's first collection - which was chosen to open Istituto Marangoni's Fall 2010 show - was inspired by the frosty elements of her native country, Iceland, and received international attention after pop icon Lady Gaga wore pieces designed by Thordardottir at Elton John's White Tie & Tiara Ball, and again as a presenter to Nick Knight, at SHOWStudio. The collection has also received a special mention award from FAD, as well positive reviews from the press.
