Hildur Yeoman

In her new collection Hildur Yeoman creates a spectrum of accessories, bags, headpieces and necklaces. She is known for her previous collections, which contained crochet bags that took various forms, such as the form of a poodle.

Hildur loves beautiful craftsmanship and tries to find new and fresh ways to interpret different methods into her designs. It stands close to her heart that old techniques don't get lost in time and technology. She uses material that is known for it's relationship with the fishing industry but throws it into a new context with these luxurious and decadent accessories.

Hildur Yeoman hefur unun af fögru handverki. Hún hefur fram að þessu framleitt heklaðar töskur í formi púðluhunda í bland við hefðbundnari töskuform.

Í nýju línunni sinni heldur Hildur áfram þar sem frá var horfið en leitast við að breikka út svið sitt með fleiri aukahlutum, eins og hálsskrauti og höfuðskrauti.

Í hönnun sína notar Hildur gamlar og gildar aðferðir en henni er mikið í mun að þekking gamals handverks glatist ekki. Þannig minnir nótagarnið sem hún nýtir á gamlan sjómannsarf Íslendinga og vísar í veðurofsa, hörku og slor. Hildur setur það þó í nýtt samhengi og tengir það fínlegum og fáguðum aukahlutum sínum.
