YR

The label YR was founded in the autumn of 2010 by the designer Ýr Thrastardottir and her sister Erna Maria Thrastardottir, who is a master student in Marketing.

The label was created after the success of YRs graduation show where her design attracted great interest among viewers. Purchase orders where made and the next step was to find a manufacturer and meet the demand.

YR works with difficult patterns and uses high quality fabrics. The goal of every collection is to form an edgy design for the modern women. Working with multiple fabrics together, like silk, leather, suede and denim gives YR a new and exciting look.

YRs second collection, autumn 2011 will be premiered at RFF, Reykjavik Fashion Festival in April 2011.
